The Chinese company hasn't yet made any announcements, but it did send invitations to the media, which confirm the  Honor 8X  will indeed go official early next month. What's really surprising is that the Honor 8X  won't be the only phone introduced on September 5. An improved version of the phone, which will be launched on the market as Honor 8X Max is expected to be announced next month as well. Both phones will come with Android 8.1 Oreo on board, but the Honor 8X Max will boast a much larger 7.12-inch display with FHD+ (1080 x 2244 pixels) resolution. It's hard to argue with free gifts, and when it comes to Samsung, it always sweetens the pot for its flagship phone prices. In the case of the Note 9 the freebies serve not for sweetening, but to cushion the $999 blow, and Samsung just swapped one set of free gifts for another, for those who get it from today onwards. 
Initially, pre-order customers were eligible to receive one set of AKG Noise Cancelling headphones or a Fortnite Game Bundle, worth $150. The Note 9 buyers could also choose to receive both items for an additional $99 which made the whole thing even sweeter.

From today onwards, however, Note 9 buyers that snatch the phone directly from Samsung, can pick the new Duowireless charger for free, plus any Note 9 cover of their choice. For extra $99, they could get those two freebies, plus the 2018 IconX truly wireless earphones, which is basically half-off for the buds. The Duo charger is $120, the IconX set is $200, and the official Note 9 covers can reach $65 for the LED one, so you are saving a good deal on a needed accessory set.
